"Revival of the Silk Road: Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan in the era of interaction" The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Agency for the Protection and Promotion of Investments of the Kyrgyz Republic held a business forum "Revival of the Silk Road: Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan in the era of interaction" at the Sheraton Hotel. The purpose of the Forum is to attract Pakistani investors, develop bilateral trade and tourism, exchange experience in the struggle against COVID-19 and hold closed meetings between representatives of the business community of the two countries. The event was opened by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan Eric Beishembiev, who emphasized the need to intensify Kyrgyz-Pakistani trade and economic relations in the face of the negative impact of COVID-19 on the global economy.

From the Pakistani side, Mr. Nazir Hussein, Executive Director of the Lahore Peace Research Center and Mr.Awais Raoof, Chairman of the Lahore University welcomed all participants. The Speaker of the Senate of Pakistan, Mr. Sadyk Sanjrani, addressed the participants of the Forum with an online congratulatory speech. Within the framework of the Forum, presentations were held by representatives of the medical circles of both countries, as well as a large-scale round table of representatives of the education sector with the participation of experts from both countries. As a result of the last forum, the Rector of the International Medical University, Ms. Rosa Amanova, signed Cooperation Agreements with the Rector of Lahore University, Mr. Aweis Rauf and the Vice-Chancellor of the University of South Asia, Mr. Mian Imran Masood.

Also, the rector of the Eurasian International Medical University E. Saliev signed similar agreements with Lahore University and the University of South Asia. Also, the International Medical University and the Eurasian International University signed important agreements with the Lahore Center for Peace Research, according to which new prospects are opening up for the further development of bilateral cooperation of both countries in the field of education. The Forum was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, in which more than 90 participants from the Kyrgyz side and more than 60 participants from the Pakistani side took part.
